Australian pets set for stardom as Sustenhance crowns companion product cover models

Australia’s four-legged equivalents to the likes of Miranda Kerr and Jennifer Hawkins have arrived with one lucky cat and dog landing their first top modelling contract with Australia’s leading supplier of nutritional supplements for animals, Sustenhance.

In its ‘Next Top Model’ inspired quest for cats and dogs launched in December 2014, Sustenhance scouted the country to find the faces of its new companion products, set to be released this year.

More than 50 glamour pusses and poochy princesses put on their best model poses and strutted their stuff for the camera, sending the Sustenhance Facebook page into a frenzy as they posted their best shots in the hope to win the coveted cover deal.

There were felines and canines from a diverse range of breeds with unique skills and knockout good looks, but there could only be two winners, and the decision came down to one important factor.

Sustenhance General Manager Adam Williams said Sustenhance, a 100 per cent Australian-owned company, was dedicated to the health of the nation’s pets, and it was essential that the cover stars embodied the perfect picture of pet health.

“Our exciting new products optimise the health of cats and dogs so it was essential our winners promoted a healthy diet and lifestyle,” he said.

“Our winning dog is Cairo, a gorgeous, obedient Rottweiler from the Gold Coast, Queensland, who credits his extra glossy coat and strong physique to a raw food diet and regular training, making him a strong ambassador for proper nutrition for dogs,” he said.

“Our equally good looking cat winner Galileo, a Korat from Brisbane, Queensland, is certainly not your typical feline. Galileo is kept active with regular walks outside on his leash and indoor tree climbing and he is the first cat we’ve come across who can ‘show jump’ over boxes!

“Both these winners have the whole package – good looks, unique talents and a healthy, active lifestyle. As the face of our new products, we know Cairo and Galileo will inspire pet owner nationwide to take the best care of their pets with proper nutrition.”

Cairo and Galileo are now getting prepared for their exclusive photoshoot which will see them feature on the packaging of the new Sustenhance Fibre & More and Sustenhance Multi & More products.

Not only will the two winners relish in their newfound fame, Cairo and Galileo will also receive a month’s supply of Sustenhance new products as well as a Sustenhance prize hamper.
