Brazilian Beauty shines ‘light’ on wedding day skin transformation

Brisbane resident Krystyna Carmichael was on the verge of cancelling her wedding day until she discovered a non-invasive solution to her adult acne nightmare.

Krystyna’s skin flared up when she ceased breastfeeding and stopped using the mini pill, and left her feeling ashamed to be seen in public.

“I felt like a monster, I didn’t want people to see me,” she said.

Krystyna visited a dermatologist and was prescribed medicated antibacterial creams, magnesium crystals and was given strict instructions on her skincare regime, but nothing seemed to work.

With her wedding day only a few months away, Krystyna visited Brazilian Beauty North Lakes looking for a solution.

“It took a lot of courage for me to go to Brazilian Beauty, because my anxiety and fear of strangers judgment was so high at the time,” she said.

“My now husband, Corrie, told me I was worth it and his support really gave me the courage to go.”

Krystyna began a course of LED Light Therapy, combined with Australian Skin Institute facials and strict homecare regime using ASI products.

After just two weeks Krystyna saw dramatic results in her skin’s appearance.

“After two months I was confident to leave the house without makeup,” she said.

“My wedding was a dream come true.”

Brazilian Beauty Training Manager Maree Butler said LED (light emitting diode) Light Therapy is emerging as a popular and effective acne treatment for men and women looking for a natural alternative to harsher, prescribed medication.

“LED Light Therapy is a non-intrusive, relaxing treatment which works to cure acne, heal breakouts and eliminate acne-causing bacteria,” she said.

“It also reduces fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentation, acne scarring and rosacea.”

LED Light Therapy uses a sterilising blue light to kill bacteria in the skin, making the follicle uninhabitable for future infections.

A different red light promotes and accelerates the skin's natural healing process, normalising sebum production and preventing acne scarring.

Brazilian Beauty CEO Francesca Webster said many men and women were not aware advanced facial treatments could make such a huge difference to skin conditions such as acne.

“There is a misconception that acne is only an issue for teens and this can have a huge emotional impact on people who suffer with adult acne,” she said.

“We want men and women to know there is a solution available and is one that doesn’t take a toll on your body and wellbeing. We can have you feeling confident again in as little as two weeks,” she said.
