Senior Communication Manager

Lea has over 19 years’ experience in communications across multiple sectors and employment levels.

She has worked on public relations, internal and external communications and marketing in Brisbane, Sydney and Canberra for local, state and federal government departments and the private sector. 

Her breadth of knowledge about innovative communication techniques and an ability to put complex concepts into plain English means she understands what needs to be communicated and when; with an absolute passion for her audience and their needs. 

Lea has an extensive working knowledge of Queensland government and has worked as a Media Manager at Queensland Health and a Media Advisor to the Queensland Mental Health Commissioner. 

Lea has worked as the Communications Lead on major change campaigns with AMP, Queensland Urban Utilities, Queensland Rail and Hastings Deering. She has experience in emergency communications management at Brisbane City Council and ESRI Australia. She also worked on multi-million-dollar campaigns for the Australian Tax Office and managed a number of large-scale internal communication campaigns for most of her employers. She brings a high level of energy and specialist communications knowledge to the team.

Lea holds a Bachelor’s Degree with a double major in Journalism from the University of Queensland.
