Bondor inspires Narellan Town Centre’s $200 million redevelopment

Bondor is thrilled to announce that installation of the architectural facade on the multi-million dollar Narellan Town Centre is progressing quickly. This is the first large-scale shopping centre where Bondor’s MetecnoInspire® has been installed.

Bondor’s General Manager, Geoff Marsdon said the builder’s have noted that MetecnoInspire® has been much quicker to install, when compared to decorative composite facades.

“We were delighted to be selected as the preferred supplier of the architectural facade as MetecnoInspire® was only launched late last year. I am pleased that our product is living up to the expectation,” he said.

“MetecnoInspire® panels provide excellent thermal properties and minimal structural support, with little or no fabrication prior to placement on the wall. This equates to faster install times and lower labour costs.”

The expansion will double the mall’s floor space from 36,000 square metres to 72,000 square metres and offer 1,500 additional car park spaces. It will also incorporate a sky bridge over Camden Valley Way which joins the existing southern shopping precinct to the new northern sector to form a cohesive regional retail centre. It will also host a town square and restaurant precinct to the north side giving Narellan a new heart of town.

With more than 100 new retailers (including stunning new boutiques and top national fashion brands) preparing to take up residence, the envelope had to match the calibre of the new retailers. The Project Architect, Anthony Palamara, from The Buchan Group said,

“The design of the architectural facade is intended to give Narellan Town Centre a modern expression with clean lines and restrained articulation.”

“Selecting the right building product was essential. MetecnoInspire® offered us an inspiring palette of colours that was enduring and respectful to the surrounding urban fabric, yet at the same time rejuvenated and repositioned Narellan as a new town centre.”
