Eagle Boys Tuncurry celebrates platinum anniversary

Local businessman Dave French is celebrating a special anniversary this year marking 15 years at the Tuncurry Eagle Boys’ nest – 20 years with the popular Australian franchise.

Mr French started his Eagle Boys business in the Riverina’s Cootamundra before relocating to Tuncurry where he now runs the long-established pizza shop with wife Sue.

The Tuncurry businessman holds one of the longest running Eagle Boys stores in Australia, with Eagle Boys opening its first shopfront only seven years earlier in Albury, in 1987.

Mr French said he could not have guessed that his career at the Manning Street store would offer the variety, longevity and reward that has kept him in business over the past two decades.

“It has been such an enjoyable, professional feast,” he said.

“We have been able to build our business and reputation within our local community while benefiting from the exposure and support of a national brand. It has proven to be a winning recipe.

“There have been plenty of changes in the Tuncurry retail landscape – but Eagle Boys has been able to stand the test of time.”

Nick Vincent, Eagle Boys General Manager Retail, said the Tuncurry business was positioned within the national franchise group as one of the company’s great success stories.

“Dave and Sue French represent a great local business that embraces the Eagle Boys promise – to deliver delicious, great value pizzas to customers,” Mr Vincent said.

“We are so proud of Dave and Sue’s commitment to their customers, local community and their passion for making the Eagle Boys business a success story.”

To mark the anniversary, which falls on the Anzac Day weekend, the Tuncurry store will be offering customers a $5 Hawaiian pizza special.
