GRACEMERE TO HOST HASSALLS FIRST MEGA AUCTION IN 2017

GRACEMERE TO HOST HASSALLS FIRST MEGA AUCTION IN 2017

With thousands of tonnes of ex-Curtis Island equipment up for grabs, Hassalls’ first on-site auction for 2017 will take place in Gracemere from 10am this Wednesday 8 February.

The sale features more than 540 lots of second hand gear including light commercial vehicles, single and dual cab trucks, trailers, toolboxes, workshop equipment and more than 40 shipping containers.

Hassalls General Manager Steve Wall said he is expecting a big turnout, both on-site and online, after the overwhelming success of last year’s auctions.

“Last year we sold more than 3,600 lots across our ten auctions in Gracemere, so we should see a big crowd this Wednesday,” Mr Wall said.

“Vehicles make up a large chunk of the catalogue, with Ford Territory’s and Rangers, Nissan Navaras, Toyota Landcruisers and Hilux’s, Isuzu single cab prime movers and water trucks expected to sell fast.

“We’ve got some unique trucks on offer this time around, including a new shape Isuzu Water Cart fitted out with a 3,500 litre tank and with less than 30,000 kilometres on the clock.

“This is one of the last chances to pick up ex-Curtis Island gear, with our final sale for the project scheduled in March.”

For those who can’t make it in person, Hassalls’ online bidding is available – an alternative which has proven popular among interstate buyers.

“We have seen increased engagement through our live online webcast, particularly from contractors looking to beef up their fleets with mining equipment or buyers after storage containers,” Mr Wall said.
