Elevate Communication celebrates success at 2019 PRIA awards

For the third year running, Elevate Communication has been named winners at the Public Relations Institute of Australia’s (PRIA) night of nights, this time taking home 2019 National Issues Management Campaign of the Year.

At November’s 2019 PRIA National Golden Target Awards, we were recognised for our facilitation of Crime Stoppers Australia’s Dob in a Dealer campaign to stop the manufacturing, supply and use of illicit drugs.

Elevate Managing Director Mel Deacon, who accepted the award with campaign lead, Communication Executive Hannah Maurice, said the recognition showed how PR can make a difference in society.

“We were so committed to the success of Dob in a Dealer to help improve community safety and thank Crime Stoppers Australia for allowing us to work with them on this important campaign,” Mel said.

“The results speak for themselves; 47,277 drug-related information reports were received over six months, which noted a remarkable 65 percent increase on the previous campaign.”

Elevate was also awarded Highly Commended for Australia's Small Consultancy of the Year, and to top off November, was named a finalist at the My Business Awards for Workplace of the Year.

“These awards come off the back of our clients, as we are committed to understanding their market, their customers, and their goals in order to drive tangible outcomes,” Mel said.

“We have executed highly effective campaigns across international and national industries over the past year, and to be commended by industry leaders is a testament to our work.”

With a number of client wins in 2019, including The Coffee Club, QSuper and Ramsay Health Care, Elevate has recruited two new staff members, one of whom will be an integral driver in expanding Elevate’s digital team. This latest recruitment means Elevate has now entered the medium sized agency category.
